Conservation Society

The Llanarmon and District Conservation Society was formed in 1975 with the aim of protecting nature and the environment and encouraging interest in natural history, archaeology, history and making sure that as many folk as possible get to enjoy the wonderful area in and around Llanarmon.

Benefits of Membership

The group holds eight indoor talks per year in the Old Schoolroom at Llanarmon, on various subjects. Organises a yearly litter pick. Up to three outdoor activities during the late spring and summer. It also provides members with six -eight page colour newsletters /magazines containing articles of interest.

It supports events and organisations such as The Eryrys Vintage Gathering, North Wales Wildlife Trust and The Llanarmon Show.  The society also organises up to ten guided walks of between 2 and 5 hours in the area, one each month apart from December and January.

How to Join or Renew

Joining costs £10 per household per year. 

For that you get:
• six eight page magazines containing articles of interest
• up to eight talks per year (usually at the Old Schoolroom) on various subjects,
• up to ten guided walks and
• up to three outside events.

If you wish to join then contact details of the committee members who can take your membership details can be found in the bi-monthly newsletter supplied to members.
If you are already a member then renewal for the same fee takes place in August. BACS details are supplied in the newsletter before renewal is due or you can contact the treasurer and arrange to pay by cash or cheque. We also take payment at the summer shows in Llanarmon and Eryrys.
