Attached is the latest road works bulletin which includes the details of three road closures in the communities of Graianrhyd and Llanarmon.
As already reported the B5431 will be closed as from the 16th to the 20th for repairs to the roads surface. This will involve patching many sections of the road but residents should be able to get through. Care should be taken as sections of the roads surface will be removed until Thursday when the tarmac layer will arrive.
The B5431 will again be closed from the village shop to the Playground while BT start installing fibre optic cables. This work will be completed on the 23rd to the 24th September and the Community Council has arranged for the Ash Tree in the Grave yard to be removed at the same time. This will save the Council the cost of closing the road themselves to undertake this work.
Finally the B5430 spur from the Rose and Crown to Rhydtalog will be closed from the 30th August to the 3rd September again for repairs to the road surface. The surface will be removed and resurfaced at a number of points along the road.
I have previously reported the poor state of these two roads and although this will cause some inconvenience the repairs are needed. Again residents will be able to access their properties but there may be some delays when the large tarmac laying machine is present.
