Llanarmon hosts a thriving group of musicians interested in learning and performing on these popular instruments
The groups meet in the Raven every Thursday morning from 9:45 till 11:30. There is no charge, just a fifty pence donation for coffee and the ukulele group put an extra fifty pence to buy things for the group. All are welcome, from absolute beginners (some instruments are available for loan) to advanced, and age doesn’t matter either. We stop for coffee at 10:30 and anyone is welcome to come along just to be sociable. At the moment there are about 14 ukulele players and six Bodhrans. Though most are from the village, some come from further afield. We have played at various events and though we take the playing seriously the emphasis is on having fun and there is a lot of laughter!
